Storied and FamilySearch Announce Partnership to Enhance Family History Research and Storytelling

Storied, the innovative platform redefining the way people capture and share their stories, has joined with FamilySearch, the world’s largest genealogy organization, to provide an exciting offering for family history enthusiasts.

Through this collaboration, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will receive free access to Storied.com and its unique collection of over 16,000 digitized newspapers, billions of historical records, and an ever-growing collection of stories and memories. This resource enables people to uncover compelling stories and contextual details about their ancestors, bringing family history to life in vivid detail.

In addition, all Storied users will gain access to key historical content collections, with FamilySearch contributing vital records, immigration documents, and other invaluable resources to aid in genealogical research.

“This partnership is a significant step forward in helping individuals discover and preserve their family stories,” said Kendall Hulet, CEO of Storied. “By combining Storied’s extensive newspaper archives, historical records, and storytelling platform with FamilySearch’s comprehensive records and dedicated members, we are creating an extraordinary opportunity for users to connect with their heritage in a deeply meaningful way.”

FamilySearch is dedicated to helping individuals worldwide connect to their past and to each other. This partnership aligns with the Church’s ongoing commitment to fostering family history work among its members.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Storied to bring even more powerful tools to those seeking to explore their family roots,” said Stephen Valentine, Sr. Vice President at FamilySearch. “Together, we are making it easier than ever to access the resources that unlock the rich tapestry of our shared history.”

The partnership is now live, and eligible members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can begin accessing Storied’s platform and resources today. To sign up or learn more about this partnership, visit https://www.familysearch.org/en/access/storied.
