How do I use AI tools to write a story?

Use StoryAssist. Enter a few basics, choose a tone and narrator, add what the story is about, plus up to 5 important details, and the AI will draft a story you can edit.

Step-by-step

    1. Click Tell a story… on the home page.

    2. Select StoryAssist.

    3. Fill in the prompts:

      • Narrator: You or someone else

      • Tone: Neutral, Happy, Funny, Sad, Serious

      • What it’s about: a person, moment, or record

      • Important details (up to 5): names, dates, places, facts

    4. Click Generate to get a rough draft.

    5. Review & edit the draft.

Tips for better results

  • Keep each story to one moment or theme.

  • Edit for your voice—AI gives a starting point, you make it yours.

  • Fact-check dates, names, and places; AI can make mistakes.
