Starting a Tree from Scratch
You are ready to start building your first family tree on Storied. There are two ways to build a tree. One is to create a brand new tree starting with one person and adding as you go. We will call this starting a tree from scratch. It is quick and easy.

Under MY SCRAPBOOK, choose + NEW TREE.
You will get a new window “Start Telling Your Story.”
Choose “Start a Tree.”
Let's Start with the Basics
Starting a tree requires very little information.
Options include NAME and BIRTH. For the name, you can add a first, middle, and last name. For birth, you can add a date or year and city, county, state, or country.
Storied makes it easy. You do not have to include names in both the first & middle field and last name field. All you need is a first name OR a last name to get started.
If you do not know some of the information, do not worry. You can always add details later.
Choose NEXT once your known details are entered.
Storied will build the foundation of your tree. It is that simple. You have made your first family tree!
